Arrival - Your way to us

Arriving by public transport

Event tickets for the Festhalle include free travel to the event on public transport operated by the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) within the entire fare zone. This combined ticket is valid for a return journey in 2nd class from five hours before the start of the event until the end of service.
You can also obtain tickets for underground, suburban and tram services from all RMV ticket machines.

Take underground line 4 (towards Bockenheimer Warte) to the “Festhalle/Messe” station to reach the “Eingang City” entrance and the Festhalle directly.

Tram lines 16 and 17 also take you directly to the Festhalle via the “Festhalle/Messe” terminus. Here you can reach the venue via the “Eingang City” or the “Eingang Festhalle Süd”/Brüsseler Straße.

Arriving by plane

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is only about 15 kilometers from the Festhalle Messe Frankfurt and offers excellent travel connections from both domestically and abroad. From Terminal 1 or 2, you can take the S-Bahn line S8 or S9 directly to Frankfurt Central Station in about 15 minutes. From there, you can easily reach the Festhalle by taking subway line 4 or tram lines 16 and 17.
Alternatively, you can also take a taxi or shuttle service – the journey takes about 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN) is located about 120 kilometers west of Frankfurt. From there, we recommend taking the shuttle bus to Frankfurt Central Station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. From there, you can take the subway or tram directly to the Festhalle as described above.

Arriving by bicycle

You can easily reach Messe Frankfurt by bicycle. As bicycles are not permitted on the exhibition grounds during event hours, we ask you to park your bicycle in the designated parking areas. These are located at the City entrance, the Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage entrance (next to the Congress Center and Festhalle), the Portalhaus entrance, and the Messeturm. Parking spaces are also available directly in front of Kap Europa.

Photography guidelines

We ask spectators, out of consideration for the athletes, to take photographs without using a flash and to do so with sensitivity. For legal reasons, filming is not permitted.

At the same time, we expect the same sensitivity from those taking photographs of other people/spectators at our event, and we would also like to draw attention to the rights and consent regarding one’s own image.

Non-accredited persons are not permitted to use professional equipment for photography at public events. This includes, for example, lenses with focal lengths of 70 to 200 millimetres and apertures of f/2.8 or wider. Persons using cameras that exceed these specifications must obtain accreditation in advance of the events.
